My Future as a Music Educator
Welcome to my website! My name is Coleen Kampa, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the Pennsylvania State University on May 16, 2009. I began a passion for music as a young child, and knew before entering high school that I wanted to spend my career teaching music to children. I worked with elementary general and choral music and junior high band students during student teaching. Currently, I am substitute teaching in the Mifflinburg, Selinsgrove, and Lewisburg School Districts in Pennsylvania. I completed a long-term music substitute position at the Harrisburg Academy in Wormleysburg, PA this past winter. That position included directing the Lower, Middle, and Upper School Choirs, Middle and Upper School orchestra, 4th grade musical, and teaching 4th grade strings, Music Theory I, and International Baccalaureate Music History.
